Springbank 1970 Dun Bheagan 35 Year Old 75cl / US Import

A fantastic independently bottled Springbank produced for Dun Bheagan who are part of Ian Macleod distillers.

Ian Macleod's history begins in 1936 when Leonard Russell starts his career as a whisky broker and would eventually move on to the blending and exporting part of the industry. Leonards's son Peter joined his farther in 1956 and brought a fresh set of eyes to the image of the business. He immediately took charge of a company rebrand and sets up the hugely successful Isle of Skye Blend. At the time of writing the company currently owns the Glengoyne, Tamdhu and Knockando distilleries. They are also investing a huge £12 million in the reopening of one of Scotland's much missed Lowland distilleries, Rosebank. If everything goes well, they should be up and running in Autumn 2020.

This Springbank was distilled in 1970 and laid to rest in hogshead #1704 for a 35 long years. The whisky was bottled in 2005 and the cask produced only 198 bottles.

This particular bottle is 75cl and was imported to the United States
