Bunnahabhain 50 Year Old Beatson Sherry Cask / Bottle No. 1 of 1

An extraordinary whisky and an extraordinary act of generosity, this 50 year old Bunnahabhain has been bottled singularly and especially for the Scotch Whisky Industry Charity Auction.

From Distell:

"At Bunnahabhain, we’re renowned for many things; among which are our coastal warehouses and our predilection for sherry cask maturation. Each element, uniquely impacting the character of our whiskies, intertwining to deliver the sweet, salted, nuttiness we’ve come to expect from our beloved Islay Single Malt. Multiply this phenomenon by 5 decades, and you have this one-of-a-kind, single decanter of Bunnahabhain.

COLOUR: Dark Golden Copper.
NOSE: Rich dried apricots and figs, prunes and sultanas, robust notes of vanilla toffee, and subtle hints of sweet oak.
PALATE: A mouth coating, syrupy sweet malt, honey pecan pie, rich oak and sultanas, with creamy vanilla butterscotch.
FINISH: Lingering sweet dried fruits and a subtle wood spice

This Exclusive, one-of-a-kind, Limited Edition Single Malt, has been specially bottled for donation to The Beatson Cancer Charity Auction 2019. Selected by Senior Blender, Dr. Kirstie McCallum, we are honoured to support such a worthy cause, with this contribution to the investment in a better future for cancer patients and their families."
