Glenesk 1984 Cooper's Choice 31 Year Old

A bottling of Glenesk, distilled 1984 and bottled by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company for their Cooper's Choice label after maturing in bourbon cask #5282.

This whisky scored an impressive 92 points in the 2018 edition of Jim Murray's Whisky Bible. He said, "unblemished, quietly delicious and poignant malt from the last days of a small and little known distillery”.

One of 300 bottles.

From The Vintage Malt Whisky Company:

"A sophisticated and rare treasure from a closed distillery.
Nose: Grassy and oily. Fruit peel, apples and walnuts
Palate: Lemon notes and ripe apples. Spice and more fruit. Touch of honey
Finish: Drying slightly. More lemon and spice

The Vintage Malt Whisky Company was founded 27 years ago and our whisky philosophy from the start across all our brands has always been to focus on quality. As a family company, we feel by concentrating on quality success will come. By sampling a great many whiskies we select
single casks based on what we like to drink. Our well trained palates can tell excellent quality and we know if we like them then our customers will love them too!

We are delighted and very honoured to have been asked to put together a very special collection of single cask bottlings for The Beatson. Please dig deep and give generously."
