Macallan 1938 Gordon and MacPhail 65 Year Old Speymalt / includes Experience

Gordon & MacPhail helped Macallan survive during the 1930s and 1940s by buying a regular batch of stock from them, developing a relationship that has allowed them access to high quality casks ever since.

This 1938 vintage was bottled from four casks, distilled on the last day of the year and aged at the Macallan warehouses for 30 years before being transferred to the Gordon & MacPhail bonded warehouses in Elgin.

The casks were bottled at cask strength at 65 years old on 23rd December 2004.

This is the oldest Macallan ever bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, and they have very generously donated this bottle to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity.

From Gordon & MacPhail:

"With each bottle we we have donated, we include an offer of an exclusive tasting of rare whiskies for 4 people, conducted by Stephen Rankin, our Director of Prestige."
