Tomintoul 1973 Double Wood 45 Year Old
Released in October 2018, this is Tomintoul distillery's first 1973 vintage release, and very generously donated by Angus Dundee to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity.
Limited to only 218 bottles, this 45 year old whisky has been matured in White Oak American casks and finished in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
From Angus Dundee:
"Vintage 1973 is very much a dram to be treasured. It was crafted with great care. It’s been maturing for 45 years, but now is the time for those who appreciate fine whisky to savour this unique and wonderfully flavoursome single malt. I’m certain that those who really take their whisky seriously will enjoy the chance to experience a little bit of Tomintoul history.
This rare malt whisky is presented in an elegant decanter-style bottle. The contours of the neck reach up to an ornate, metallised, gilt-coated cork stopper. It sits in a deluxe, glossy, ebony-black wooden box lined with velvet."
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
