Uitvlugt 1998 High Spirits 18 Year Old 1.5 Litre
A vintage rum distilled in 1998 at Uitvlugt distillery in Guyana, two years before it closed. This whopping bottle was filled as ppart of the High Spirits Rums of the Caribbean series.
Though the Uitvlugt still sets (along many that had be relocated after the close of their previous homes) were relocated to Diamond, understandably the spirit produced at Diamond will never quite be the same due to the loss ot the ineffable qualities that make each site unique.
High Spirits are the second bottling started founded by Nadi Fiori, founder of the acclaimed Intertrade. Like many of his contemporaries, his bottlings are known for their artistic labels. In 2008 High Spirits bottled a series for the renowned collector, Valentino Zagatti to celebrate his 50th year of buying whisky. These and manyof the earlier High Spirits releases are highly collectible.
