Buffalo Trace 1989 Experimental Collection 23 Year Old 37.5cl / Giant French Oak Barrel
Buffalo Trace have released a number of experiments, this was to find out how the use of a 135 gallon French oak barrel maturation would affect the final flavour of the whiskey.
Distilled in May 1989 when the distillery was still known as Ancient Age, and operated by a Japanese firm known as Age International. Sazerac would acquire the distillery in 1992, renaming it Buffalo Trace in 1999.
