When sending bottles, it is essential that our Sender's Form is completed and printed for inclusion in your package. This allows for timely and accurate listing of your bottles as well as confirmation of receipt. 

 

Please ensure that bottle(s) are carefully packaged with plenty of internal packaging/bubble wrap in a strong cardboard box.  Whisky Auctioneer are an environmentally conscious company, so please reuse/recycle internal packaging and boxes - we would be very grateful.

 

FREE COURIER COLLECTION 

If you are interested, our Customer Service team can arrange a free courier collection of your bottles if you are unable to drop them off or take advantage of our Whisky Auctioneer collection service in the UK. We have a strong relationship with our recommended courier, DHL, who provide a reputable and efficient service with our deliveries.  

This service is currently free within the UK and the whole of the E.U.  

Please be aware that DHL, or Whisky Auctioneer,  cannot insure your package. All liability will remain with the seller for a courier collection. Please ensure that bottle(s) are carefully packaged with plenty of recyclable internal packaging/bubble wrap in a strong cardboard box.  

Please note that a minimum bottle number/value will  apply and that all collections must  take place Monday - Friday.

FAQs

How do I sell my whisky?

To sell your whisky you will firstly need to register on our website and then either deliver or post your bottle(s) to Whisky Auctioneer; we do the rest! All the information you need to sell your whisky can be found in our Step-by-Step Guide to Selling Whisky at Auction.

How much is my whisky worth?

The value of a bottle of whisky is constantly fluctuating according to supply and demand. Whisky Auctioneer can provide a valuation according to the latest market trends. If you would like a free, no-obligation valuation, please visit our Free Auction Estimate page.

What fees are involved for selling whisky?

There is a £5 listing fee per bottle (not per lot). Once a bottle is sold, sellers pay a 5% commission on the final sale price.

If you wish to place a reserve on an item there is a fee of £7.50 per lot.

Please note VAT is charged to commission, listing and reserve fees.  VAT is not applicable to the hammer price of the whisky.

Please note items can only be collected after 10.00am due to licensing laws.
