Allt-a-Bhainne is one of Chivas Brothers’ (Pernod Ricard) major blend contributors.  Built in the booming era of the 1970s with the aim of producing malt for the growing blend sector, Allt-a-Bhainne cost £2.7 Million. Production was expanded in the late 80s and was managed until Seagrams (Chivas Brothers) was taken over by Pernod Ricard in 2001. Allt-a-Bhainne was mothballed between 2002 and 2005.
